Alba Pedrero Galindo Receives All-Mountain West Women’s Tennis Honor

Colorado Springs, Colo.------ San Jose State University sophomore Alba Pedrero Galindo was named to the 2019-20 All-Mountain West women's tennis team as a singles player.

The second-year Spartan from Murcia, Spain played in the #1 singles position during the abbreviated Spring 2020 dual match season. During the Fall 2019 tournament season, she won her flight at the San Diego State University Fall Classic defeating one player from Cal State Northridge and two San Diego State opponents.

"Alba is a true warrior on the tennis court and a very selfless team player. I'm sure she'll be very surprised, but this honor is very well deserved," said San Jose State University women's tennis head coach Chad Skorupka. "Even though the season was shortened, this is a great honor for her to be respected in this way by the coaches in the Mountain West."

Sixteen players from the 11 Mountain West schools were named all-conference players in singles.
