SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State women's basketball team (4-19, 1-11 Mountain West) hosts Wyoming (11-10, 7-5 Mountain West) inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Monday evening. Tickets are available for purchase here

This game is a make up, originally scheduled for January 6 in San José. The contest was postponed due to COVID-19 related concerns in the Cowgirls' program.
 

 

  • Cydni Lewis and Ella Ogier are leading the Spartans in scoring, averaging 11.7 points per game 
  • Lewis is leading the team in rebounding, grabbing seven boards per game has 28 blocks
  • Ogier has a team-best 45 steals and 54 assists
  • Stephanie Torres has hit a team-high 23 3-pointers while A'Tyanna Gaulden and Deja Ross have each hit 21 3-pointers on the year
  • Torres shot 3-4 with two 3-pointers for 11 points and dished out three assists in Saturday's game against Wyoming
  • The Spartans suffered a loss at Wyoming last Wedensday
  • Meghan Oberg scored a team high 17 points, was 7-16 from the field and 3-7 from 3-point and tied a team high seven rebounds
  • The Spartans shot 69.2 percent FG and 88.3 percent (5-6) from 3-point in the opening frame
  • Wyoming is coming off a win at Fresno State 
  • McKinley Bradshaw is leading Wyoming in scoring with an average of 14.4 ppg 
  • Allyson Fertig scored a game-high 19 points and tied a Mountain West freshman record for single-game rebounds with 18 in the Cowgirls win over New Mexico to earn MW Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week (4th time this season)
  • Fertig is averaging 11.1 ppg and a team-high 7.8 rpg


NEXT UP: The Spartans take a two game road trip to face San Diego State on Wednesday, February 16 and UNLV on Saturday, February 19, before returning home to host Air Force on Wednesday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. for SJSU Day at the Event Center. 
 
New Covid Entry Policy:

  • All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
    • Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
  • Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
  • Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
    • For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
    • For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
  • The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies

Mask Policy:

  • Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
