Lewis Makes History, Spartans Come Up Short to Air Force

SAN JOSE, Calif. – 
Cydni Lewis made history inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Wednesday afternoon as San José State (4-23, 1-15 Mountain West) lost 68-59 to Air Force (16-11, 10-6 Mountain West). Lewis became just the 18th Spartan to join the 1,000-point club in a team-high 17-point effort.
 


  • Lewis also chipped in 13 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season and added three blocks and four assists for a full stat line
  • A'Tyanna Gaulden had 16 points, which was good for her third highest output of the season
  • Stephanie Torres contributed 10 points on 4-7 shooting from the field
  • Ella Ogier started out hot with 6 points and 4 rebounds in the first quarter
  • SJSU shot 45 percent from the field and 75 percent from the charity stripe, while holding Air Force to just 39 percent shooting
  • Lauren McDonald led Air Force with 18 points on 4-7 shooting from 3-point range

New COVID Entry Policy:

  • All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
    • Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
  • Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
  • Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
    • For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
    • For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
  • The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies

Mask Policy:

  • Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
