DAVIS, Calif.—The San José State beach volleyball team fell to No. 10 California and UC Davis Saturday afternoon by the same 5-0 scores in Davis.
- Against California, Haylee Nelson and Mia Schafer paired together and took their match to five sets before falling 14-21, 21-19, 15-13.
- Two Spartan pairs played three-set matches in the dual versus UC Davis. Nelson and Schafer fell 21-6, 18-21, 15-8.
- Madeline Boerstra and Chloe Culver also played three sets against the Aggie pair, winning the second of three sets in the 20-22-21-19, 15-9 loss.
San José State returns to action next weekend with four matches hosted by Cal Poly. The team plays Arizona State and Cal Poly on Friday the 11th, followed by Washington and Loyola Marymount on Saturday the 12th.
