SAN JOSE, Calif.— Cheyenne Rice and Jaida Ward lead San José State against USF and No. 7 Stanford when the teams will face off for separate dual meets this Monday, March 27.

  • At the San José State Tournament, Rice and Ward defeated Oregon's Chloe Brown and Zoe Almanza in straight sets 21-16, 21-16, delivering a clutch victory when the Spartans and Ducks were tied at 2-2 in the dual
  • Rice and Ward won three of their four matches last time out, also defeating the USF Dons' Letizia Aquilino and Mckenna Towne 21-18, 21-14 and the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners' Sophia Brandstetter and Hana Makonova 25-23, 21-23, 19-17
  • Teila Allen, Nayeli Tia, Isabelle Sistek and Meredith Scott each won two matches out of four in their San José State Tournament hosting Oregon, Boise State, USF and CSU Bakersfield
  • SJSU has already competed against USF in a dual, beating the Dons 3-2 at the San José State Tournament

UP NEXT: The Spartans won't see action again until April 13 when they travel to Moraga, Calif. for duals against Sacramento State and Saint Mary's College
