BANDON, Ore. – Keshav "KC" Mungali shot a 70 (-1) to lead the San José State men's golf team in the second round of the Bandon Dunes Championship on Monday at the Bandon Dunes Resort Pacific Dunes Course, hosted by the University of Idaho.
- San José State moved up two spots to eighth place at +36 after shooting 10 strokes better on Monday
- Mungali, who carded a 70 (-1) to move into seventh place individually with a tournament total of +3
- Mungali's stellar performance was the team’s lowest round of the day and positioned him among the top contenders heading into the final round
- Zubair Firdaus shot a 77 (+6) on the day
- Jed Dy posted a 73 (+2) on Monday, placing him in 47th at +12 for the tournament
- Andreas Diogenous shot a 75 (+4) and is also tied for 47th
- Avinash Iyer (78, +7) and Ivan Barahona (77, +6) finished the second round at +14, placing them in 53rd
- Awesome Burnett recorded an even-par 71 (E) on Monday, bouncing back to climb into 86th place
- Xuan Luo shot an 84 (+13) in his second round
- Diogenous, Luo, and Burnett are playing as individuals
