BANDON, Ore. – San José State men’s golfer Keshav "KC" Mungali delivered a stellar performance at the Bandon Dunes Championship, finishing in fifth place after shooting a 213 (E) over three rounds at the Pacific Dunes Course. Mungali led the Spartans to a sixth-place team finish at +38 in the tournament hosted by the University of Idaho.
Mungali posted five birdies en route to a final-round 68 (-3) on Tuesday, marking the lowest round of the tournament for San José State. His impressive showing at Bandon Dunes earned him his second top-five finish of the season.
Other Notable Spartan Performances:
- Zubair Firdaus recorded an eagle and carded a 71 (E) in the final round to finish tied for 21st place with a total score of 223 (+10)
- Jed Dy posted a 228 (+15) for the tournament, placing him in a tie for 46th
- Avinash Iyer shot a 233 (+20), earning a tie for 61st place
- Ivan Barahona delivered a strong final round with a 73 (+2), finishing in a tie for 50th place with a total of 229 (+16)
- Andreas Diogenous finished in a tie for 68th place with a 234 (+21), while Xuan Luo shot a 77 (+6) in the final round
- Both Diogenous and Luo competed as individuals
