FRESNO, Calif. - Josh Uduje and Latrell Davis each scored 30 points to lead the San José State (12-12, 5-7 MW) men's basketball team in a 94-91 double overtime victory over Fresno State (5-18, 1-11 MW) at the Save Mart Center.
- This marks the first win for the Spartans in Fresno since Jan. 10, 2009.
- The Spartans 94 points are the most points they have scored in a conference game since joining the Mountain West in 2013.
- This game is also the first time in school history that they have recorded two 30 point scorers in a game.
- This game is the first double overtime game for the Spartans since Jan. 26, 2019 in a 73-71 loss against Air Force.
- Davis’ 30 points, 11 made field goals and six made threes were all career-highs.
- Davis has now set new career-highs in points in three out of his last four games. In that four game span, Davis has scored 93 points on 33-48 shooting from the field and shooting 17-25 from three.
- Davis scored 17 of his 30 points in overtime, consisting of four threes, a converted and-one and a layup. Davis did not miss a shot in overtime.
- Davis also recorded six rebounds, four assists and a career-high four steals.
- Uduje’s 30 points set a season-high and his 11 rebounds set a career-high.
- Uduje’s double-double was his second of the season and the ninth of the season for SJSU.
- Uduje has now scored 20 or more points in 11 games this season which leads the Mountain West.
- In conference play, only New Mexico’s Donovan Dent has recorded a game with 30 or more points coming into today’s game.
- Donavan Yap tallied 13 points, four rebounds and four assists in the game.
- Will McClendon scored 10 points in the game. McClendon hit the game-tying three which sent the game into overtime.
- Chol Marial recorded four points, six rebounds and three blocks in a career-high 31 minutes.
- The Spartans have now won two in a row and five out of their last seven games.
