SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State women’s basketball has made a new signing, Amelie Sitterud, a 6-1 guard transfer from LMU, will join the team for the 2025-26 season, as announced by head coach Jonas Chatterton.

- Joins the Spartans for her junior season
- Spent the previous two seasons at LMU, appearing in 43 games.
- Last season, as a sophomore was a regular contributor for the Lions, playing in 29 games and scoring 53 points to go with 15 steals, eight assists, and nine blocks.
- Set new season career highs in minutes, points, steals, rebounds, assists, blocks, and three-point field goal percentage last season.
- Set single-game career highs last season with six points against Pepperdine in February and five rebounds against San Francisco in January.
- Single-game career high three steals against Bethesda in November of last season.
- Played three years of varsity basketball at Tahoma High School.
- Earned All-Conference, All-City, and All-State honors her senior year at Tahoma.
