Played linebacker and was used occasionally at safety for Monterey Trail High in Elk Grove, Calif. (Coach T.J. Ewing)... Credited with 401 tackles 24.0 tackles for loss, 10.5 quarterback sacks, five forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in three varsity seasons... Key figure in the Mustangs' 30-8 overall win-loss record and two trips to the Northern California Division I championship game... SportsStars' top Northern California defensive player and Sacramento Bee All-Metro, MaxPreps' All-Sac Joaquin Section, All-NorCal Preps "Defensive Player of the Year" honors...
