2017: Scored in three of the four races in which he competed… Best 8k time (25:50.1) came at the Bronco Invitational (10/14) where he finished 114th… Top finish (49th) came at the Mountain West Championship (10/27) where he ran a 25:54.9… Was 92nd (26:30.1) at the Capitol Cross Challenge (9/30)… Was 151st in 32:38.6 at the 10k NCAA West Regional Championship (11/10).
MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE: Competed for Mt. Sac (coach Daniel Ozan) in 2016… Top 8k time was 26:58.3… Top four-mile time was 21:34… Competed in 2014-15 & 2015-16 in track (coach Doug Todd)… Top times were 1:53 (800m), 4:04 (1500m), 8:56 (3000m).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Glen A. Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights, Calif. … Earned three letters in cross country and track (coach Mark Fressenden)… As a freshman won the Valle Vista League 1600m championship (4:56.49) and in 2014 was the league’s 800m champion (1:59.6)
JAVIER: Plans to major in communication studies with a minor in business… In his spare time enjoys outdoor activities… The son of Delma and Laurencio Ubaldo.
