SPARTAN NOTES: In his first year as a Spartan.

AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE: Competed for the Beavers (Coach Paul Hansen)...in 1,055 minutes stopped 52 of the 66 shots he faced for a 1.194 GAA.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, Calif....a four- year letter winner (coach Jairo Camargo) who was honored as team captain and MVP his junior and senior season.

ANDREW: Majoring in kinesiology...lists soccer and outdoor activities among his interests...plans to pursue a career as an athletic trainer after graduation...the son of Mary-Lou Rodriguez...a native of Watsonville, Calif., Andrew Garcia-Rodriguez was born February 24, 1993.
