2015: Made seven starts - on the road at San Diego (9/20), Incarnate Word (10/4), UTRGV (10/30) and Houston Baptist (11/1), at home against UNLV (10/9) and Air Force (10/25) & in the WAC Tournament vs. UNLV (11/12) - among 15 total appearances...lone point of the season came on an assist in a 2-1 voctory over UC Davis (6/16)...took a single-game career high four shots against CSU Bakersfield...produced 15 shots putting three on framesaw 667 minutes of game action.
2014: Among 15 total appearances earned six starting assignments - at Bradley (8/29), vs. Western Illinois (8/31), at Air Force (10/10), at UMKC (10/12), vs. Incarnate Word (10/17) and vs. Utah Valley (11/9)...goals came at Bradley, to draw even in the 71st minute, and in a 4-0 victory vs. Pacific (9/19)...both assists came in a 5-1 decision at Air Force...among his 20 shots, he achieved a game-high three at Bradley, vs. Pacific, at Air Force and vs. Utah Valley...11 of his shots were on frame for a .550 SOG%, which was second highest on the team...saw 533 mintues of game action.
2013: Made six starts - Sacramento State (8/30), SIUE (9/1), Santa Clara (9/19), at Oregon State (9/22), Saint Mary's (9/29) and UNLV (10/13) - among 19 total appearances...scored one goal, the game-winner vs. CSU Bakersfield (11/15) in the WAC Tournament...attempted 22 shots with nine being on frame...twice took a single-game best three shots - Santa Clara (9/19) and Saint Mary's (9/29)...twice put two shots on goal in a match - Sacramento State (8/30) and SIUE (9/1)...played 746 minutes.
2012: Appeared in the season's first five matches, earning starts at Santa Clara (9/9), Stanford (9/12) and Sacramento State (9/16) before injury ended his campaign...scored his first collegiate goal in a 5-2 win at Santa Clara...attempted four shots - one each against Cal Poly (9/2) and at Stanford and the other two coming at Santa Clara - all four were on frame...played a total of 193 minutes.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Harbor High School in Santa Cruz, Calif...earned four varsity letters in soccer (coach Devon Thompson)...named a first-team All-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League performer as a sophomore and junior...selected his team Most Valuable Player as a junior.
ERIC: Majoring in marketing...enjoys music, the beach and all kinds of sports in his spare time...played club soccer for the Santa Cruz Breakers Academy (coach Efrain Burgos)...the son of Martha and Esteban Mendez...a native of Santa Cruz, Calif., Eric Mendez was born September 24, 1994.
