HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Ripon (Calif.) High School…four-year letterwinner (coach Robert Vernon)…2016 Sac-Joaquin Section Division 5 Champion…three-time All Trans Valley League performer…three-time all-area selection…2018 All-Star Prep – Best of the Record honoree…for her career she hit .425 with a .498 on base percentage and slugged .640…had 102 hits with 12 homers, scored 92 runs and drove in 90.
 
SHAY: Plans on majoring in psychology…hopes to pursue a career as either a school or sport psychologist…played club ball for the Firecrackers Sjolie (coach Rob Sjolie)…the daughter of Katie and Jeff Furtado…Shay Morgan Furtado is a native of Sacramento, Calif.
