Evelin Meza Season 2021

AT SJSU: Is entering her second season of competition in track and field with the Spartans.

2020: INDOOR - Did not compete...OUTDOOR – Season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic.    

2019: Highlight of the regular season was a mark of 10:47.42 in the 3000 at the Rainbow Relays (Mar. 22-23, placed third)...Clocked a time of 17:41.16 in the 5000 at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships (Feb. 21-23) and a 36:51.68 in the 10000 at the conference outdoor championships (May 8-11).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Greenfield (Calif.) High School…Competed in cross country and track and field (coach Angel Villagomez)…Earned All-Mission Trail Athletic League (MTAL) honors three times in cross country and five times in track… As a junior and senior won back-to-back individual MTAL cross country champions…As a sophomore and then a junior, led her team to back-to-back MTAL team championships…Twice honored as an All-Central Coast Section performer…Owns the school record for the 1600m, 3000m, 5k and 3 mile runs…Her 18:31 in the 3-mile race is also the MTAL record…MTAL champion in the 1600m & 3200m.
