San Jose State University and the University of Idaho will face each other in a non-conference football game, Saturday, September 13, 2025, in CEFCU Stadium, Home of the Spartans in San José. Marie Tuite, the Spartans' director of athletics, made the announcement.
San Jose State and Idaho will be meeting for the first time since the 2012 season when both schools were Western Athletic Conference members. Since then, the Spartans moved to the Mountain West and the Vandals moved to the Big Sky Conference, a member of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
Since the first meeting in 1946, San Jose State leads the series, 13-10-1. The last time the Spartans and Vandals met in a non-conference game was in 1998 in San José.
