SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State baseball team (0-0, 0-0 Mountain West) will open the season with four games against Omaha (0-0, 0-0 Summit) at Excite Ballpark this weekend. Game one is set for 3:05 p.m. on Friday with Game 2 and 3 part of a doubleheader starting at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday and the final game of the series at 12:05 p.m, on Sunday. All games can be seen on the Mountain West Network.

  • SJSU starts the season with 12 straight home games at Excite Ballpark
  • The Spartans welcome 23 new players this season including eight transfers on the roster from power five schools
  • Ethan Ross, Brady Hill, Cade Van Allen and Jonathan Clark all look to get drafted in the upcoming MLB draft. Hill, who pitches and plays outfield, was previously drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2019
  • Two young players to look out for are Charles McAdoo and Theo Hardy. Both look to make a big impact this season
