The Alan B. Simpkins Intercollegiate Athletic Administration Building is the home for the San Jose State University Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.
The 1.7-acre property was purchased by Alan and Phyllis Simpkins. The building, which opened in July 1997, is 1.2 miles from the main campus and located at the northwest corner of Seventh Street and E. Alma Avenue and across the street from CEFCU Stadium.
It includes a 22,700-square foot building and 90 parking spaces. Purchase of the facility by the San Jose State University Foundation was possible through the Simpkins' gift to the foundation.
The building houses the athletic department administration and offices for volleyball, softball, women's water polo, women's swimming, women's gymnastics, women's soccer, women's tennis and track and field.
A ticket office for athletic events is operated in conjunction with the university's Event Center Box Office. There are short-term free parking spots for ticket office and athletics department visits.
