Three-time C.I.F. Central Section Division II champion and 2013 NLI signee for the women's swimming and diving team, Taylor Solorio, is an All-Area Girls Swimmer of the year as announced by the Bakersfield Californian.
The graduate of Highland High School in Bakersfield, Calif., capped her high school career with victories in the 100 fly and 200 IM at the 2013 meet. Her winning times of 56.46 in the 100 fly and 2:05.41 in the 200 IM are NISCA consideration marks for All-America recognition.
She also set a Division II record in the 100 freestyle event with a winning time of 52.42 seconds.
Solorio will begin competition in a Spartan swim cap beginning the 2013-14 season.
