San Jose, Calif. - In its first action of the 2013-14 season, the San José State men's golf team will tee it up in the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate in Pullman, Wash., on Sept. 9-10.

The fifth edition of the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate is hosted by Washington State at the 7,308-yard par 70 Palouse Ridge Golf Club and also features: Boise State, British Columbia, Chico State, Cal State Fullerton, Gonzaga, Idaho, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Seattle and Utah Valley.

The field will play 36 holes on Monday beginning at 7:30 a.m. and will conclude Tuesday with the final 18 holes starting at 7:30 a.m.

The Spartans feature five proven competitors including sophomore Cody Blick, the 2012-13 WAC Player and Freshman of the Year, and senior Justin Estrada, a second-team All-WAC performer in 2013. The two earned fourth (Estrada) and 12th place (Blick) finishes at last year's Itani Quality Homes Collegiate.

In the four previous times the tournament has been conducted, just two teams have earned its championship: host Washington State (2009, 2010 and 2012) and San José State (2011).
