Colorado Spring, Colo. - The San Jose State University women's soccer team earned a scoreless 0-0 tie against the Air Force Falcons in a Mountain West match on Friday, October 18.

"We played decently and did good things," Head Coach Jeff Leightman said. "But in the final third (of the match), we weren't sharp and that's why we were unable to score."

The Spartans' (2-12-1, 1-5-1 MW) goalkeeper, Zoe Makrigiannis, earned her first shutout of the season, making six saves for the clean sheet. Three of the sophomore's saves came in the second overtime period of San Jose State's second 2013 shutout.

"In overtime, Zoe made some good saves," Leightman said. "Both teams had chances and their goalkeeper did a good job, as well."

The Falcons' (2-8-2, 1-2-1 MW) Kelly Stambaugh made five saves.

Megan Molina and Kacey Gricius led the Spartans with three shots each. Two of Molina's shots were on frame.

San Jose State travels to Wyoming on Sunday, October 20 for a 1:00 p.m. (MDT) match.
