Denver, Colo. - San José State men's soccer forward Rory Knibbs has been named to the All-Western Athletic Conference second-team by a vote of the league's eight head coaches.
Knibbs, a freshman from London, England, led the Spartans with seven goals, 16 points, 40 shots, 25 shots on goal and two game winners. In addition, he had two assists.
In 10 WAC games he ranked second in goals (6), points (13) and game winners (2). He found the back of the net twice versus Grand Canyon (10/25) and again against Kansas City (11/1) the next week and is one of three players in WAC competition to have two or more multi-goal games.
San José State is the sixth seed in this week's WAC Tournament, contested in Colorado Springs, Colo., and will open the tournament against third seed UNLV on Thursday, November 14, at 6:00 p.m. (MT).
