Dec. 3, 2013
Colorado Spring, Colo.--After an outstanding senior season, San José State outside hitter Hanah Blume has been named to the 2013 Mountain West All-Conference Team, as selected by the league's 11 head coaches.
Blume finished as the team's top hitter with 413 kills, 3.59 per set, and top defender with 362 digs, 3.15 per set. Among conference leaders, she finished third in kills in all matches and 10th in digs, while, in conference matches only, she was sixth in kills and 14th in digs.
During the 2013 season, Blume reached 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs at San José State, the fourth player in school history to accomplish this feat. She ends her career with 1,064 kills and 1,069 digs. Blume also had 21 kills and 20 digs against Winthrop to become the 21st player in school history to record a 20/20 double-double. She also is just one of four players in San José State history to record 35 digs in a match which she did against Campbell early in the season.
Blume is the first San José State volleyball player to receive this honor after the school joined the conference on July 1, 2013.
