Woodland, Calif.-----San Jose State University co-captain Timi Molnar was named the first Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Women's Water Polo Player of the Week for the 2014 season.
Molnar notched her 38th career multi-goal match of her career as one of five Spartan starters with three goals in San Jose State's 19-5 non-conference season-opening win at Cal State Monterey Bay.
The Spartans' 19 goals were the most scored by the team since a 20-5 win over Cal State San Bernardino in April 2009.
San Jose State moves on to the UCLA Invitational, January 18 & 19. The Spartans take on Cal Baptist and CSU Bakersfield in first-day action and Loyola Marymount and Concordia (Calif.) on January 19 to conclude their tournament play.
