San Jose, Calif. - Cassandra Harrison is the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Gymnast of the week for February 10-16. This is her first-ever MPSF award.
The senior from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada placed second in the all-around at Sacramento State on February 14 with a career-high 39.300. The score was the ninth-highest in both MPSF and San José State history, helping to lead the Spartans to the fourth-best team score in the MPSF, a 195.725. Harrison earned a 9.900 on floor, a season-high and the best score for an MPSF gymnast this season, and added 2014-bests on vault (9.850) and beam (9.775). She also scored a 9.775 on bars.
The Spartans travel to Boise State on Friday, February 21, for a 7:00 p.m. (MT) dual meet against the Broncos.
