Tempe, Ariz. --- Junior Julianna Bacelar scored the only point of the day, as the San José State women's tennis team (2-5) falls to #24 Arizona State University, 6-1.
Bacelar secured the point for the Spartans after defeating Arizona State's Ebony Panoho in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Junior Jessica Willett took the first set in her singles match against Kassidy Jump, but was forced to go into a tiebreaker, where she fell, 4-6, 6-3, (10-2).
The Spartans continue match play, Saturday, February 8, as they travel to Long Beach, Calif. to take on Long Beach State. The match begins at 11:00 a.m. (PT).
