Colorado Springs, Colo. - San José State men's golfer Cody Blick, a two-time winner this year and Mountain West Conference stroke average leader, has been honored with selection to the 2014 Mountain West Men's Golf All-Conference Team, by a vote of the conference's head coaches.
Blick, who is nationally ranked No. 42 by Golfstat and No. 52 by Golfweek, earned his first two collegiate wins this year. He was the individual medalist at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate and Wolverine Invitational in the fall. He carded a 203 total in each event and had his best collegiate round, a 64, in winning the Wolverine Invitational.
In 10 starts this year, Blick had six top-10 and four top-4 finishes. In 29 total rounds, he had 18 of par or better, of which 17 were sub-par efforts. His 70.76 stroke average was the best in the Mountain West.
Blick, a sophomore from Danville, Calif., is a two-time all-conference honoree. In 2013, he was named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and first-team All-WAC.
