The current fundraising efforts on behalf of San Jose State University football player Jared Leafare in compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations for student-athletes impacted by unforeseen extraordinary circumstances.
A linebacker preparing for his junior season with the Spartans, the 20 year old Leaf was diagnosed with second-degree burns following his escape from his off-campus apartment that caught on fire Wednesday evening, April 23.
Since then, he is receiving medical care at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Burn Center.
