Woodstock, Ontario-San José State women's golfer Megan Osland finished her week at the 2014 Canadian Women's Amateur Championship with a one-under 70 in the final round on Friday. She finished eighth at one-under 283 while playing at the Craigowan Oxford Golf & Country Club.
Osland was one of just eight players in the field to finish the championship with an under-par score. She made four birdies in her final round including on her final hole of the championship. Osland made 12 pars on Friday and finished the tournament tied for third with the most pars made over the four rounds with 53. She also tied for second for most pars or better with 64 (53 pars, 11 birdies).
Over the first nine holes Friday, Osland made birdies on #2 (par 4), #4 (par 5) and #5 (par 4) and pars on the other six holes for a three-under 32 at the turn. After a par on #10, she made a double-bogey on the par-four #11. Osland then strung together five pars before a bogey on #17 and a birdie on #18 ended her round at 70.
Over her four rounds, Osland shot 68-73-72-70. She begins her senior year for the Spartans this September.
