MEN'S SOCCER TICKETS

Tickets for all San José State men's soccer home games are free for all SJSU students, faculty and staff with a valid Tower Card. Adult tickets are $5.00, youth (12 years old and under) are $3.00 and any child wearing a jersey gets in for $1.00 on select match days.

Groups of 20 or more can purchase discounted tickets at $3.00 per person. The Ticket Office opens one hour prior to kickoff at Spartan Soccer Field or can be purchased by calling the San José State Ticket Office at 408-924-SJTX (7589).

HOME SWEET HOME

The Spartans have played seven matches this year, but just two have been on their home pitch, Spartan Soccer Field.

The teams two wins have come on its home field where they are averaging 4.0 goals/match. In its five losses, all on the road, the side is averaging just 0.8 goals/match.

COLUNGA TOP-50 IN ASSISTS NATIONALLY

In the latest statistical ranking from the NCAA (9/26), Johnathan Colunga (So., MF, Lindsay, Calif.) is 46th in the nation in assists with three.

Colunga's three assists is among lead the Western Athletic Conference. He is also No. 67 in the nation, and second in the league, in assists per game (0.43).

KNIBBS TOPS IN SCORING

Rory Knibbs (So., F, London, England) is 35th in goals (4), good for third in the WAC, and 40th in the nation in points (10). His point total ranks third in the conference.

Knibbs also ranks 55th in goals per game (0.57) and 48th in points per game (1.43) among Division I strikers.

HARTE EMERGES

Greg Harte (Fr., F, Cork, Ireland) has emerged as a strong Division I striker. In two of the last three games he has found the back of the net three times, including twice against Pacific and the game winner.

SHUTOUT FOR PETERMANN

In the Spartans 4-0 win over Pacific, Felix Petermann (So., GK, Berlin, Germany) recorded the team's first clean sheet of the year. It came in Petermann's first start of the year and was the first shutout of his college career.

SPARTANS IN THE TOP-100 IN FOUR STATISTICAL CATEGORIES

In the latest statistical release from the NCAA, San José State can boast a top-100 ranking in four categories.

The side is 47th in total goals (12), 51st in scoring offense (1.71g/game) and 75th in total points (31). In addition, the Spartans rank 69th in points per game (4.43).

SCOUTING SAN FRANCISCO

The Dons, members of the West Coast Conference, start the week 4-2-0 and will play UC Davis on Friday ahead the Sunday match with San José State. Among their wins are a 2-1 result at then #21 Wisconsin and 1-0 of then #24 Florida Gulf Coast in San Francicso.

In records since 1954, USF holds a dominating 45-18-4 lead in the series. However, in two of the last three meetings in San Jose, the Spartans have come away the victors.

Miguel Aguilar lead the Dons in shots (19) and goals (3). Danny Kirkland has two tallies and three other player have a goal a piece. Both of Kirkland's strikes have been game winners.

Chase Hauser has played every minute in goal for USF this year. He has allowed just five shots past him (GAA 0.83), made 15 saves (save % .750) and has two shutouts.

Head Coach Eddie Soto is in his first season leading the USF program.
