Sept. 4, 2014

The San José State men's golf team kicks off the 2014 fall series with a return to the Wolverine Intercollegiate, where a year ago Cody Blick captured individual medalist honors.

Joining San José State at the 6,704-yard par 71 University of Michigan Golf Course will be Penn State, Xavier, Wichita State, Wisconsin, Eastern Michigan, Harvard, Kansas, Rutgers, Mountain West foe Fresno State and host, Michigan.

Head coach John Kennaday will open his eighth season at SJSU with a lineup of Landon Polterock, Scott Munger, Matthew Ashley, Felix Möesmang and the defending champ Cody Blick.

Blick had rounds of 68 and 64 to open the 2013 Wolverine Intercollegiate, before cruising in with a 71 to secure a three-shot victory. It was his second win in as many tournaments to begin the 2013-14 season.

The field will play 36 holes Saturday with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. EDT, and conclude with the final round on Sunday also beginning at 8:00 a.m.
