Mountain West Women's Swimmer & Diver of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State University freshman diver Cari Reiswig was named the Mountain West Diver of the Week following her performance at the Bulldog Invitational at Fresno, Calif., announced on Tuesday. The award marks the first career weekly honor for Reiswig, and the first for the Spartans this season.
The Galt, Calif., native, in her first collegiate competition, won the 1-meter springboard event at the Fresno State Bulldog Invitational with an NCAA-qualifying mark of 291.65. Reiswig also placed second in the 3-meter springboard with a score of 233.15.
San José State opened the 2014-15 season in the two-day Fresno State Bulldog Invitational on October 10-11, 2014, accumulating a total of 1292 points to defeat fellow Mountain West members Fresno State and Air Force.
San José State will return to the pool on Friday, October 17 at UC Davis. Start time is set for 3:00 p.m. PT.
