Stanford, Calif.-- Elizabeth Schultz and Regan De Guzman each shot a 73 to lead the San José State women's golf team in the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Dr. Condoleeza Rice Saturday. The Spartans are tied for 10th with Arizona State at 581.
Schultz made three birdies on her round and shot even par over her final nine holes including a birdie on the final hole. She is tied for 20th at even-par 142.
De Guzman made two birdies during her round, shot even over her last nine holes and finished the round with a birdie and six consecutive pars. She is tied for 39th at three-over, 145. De Guzman is tied for second in the tournament in pars made with 28.
My Leander shot a 74 in the second round and is tied for 46th at 146. Megan Osland shot a 75 and is tied for 52nd at 148. Kathleen Rojas rounded out the Spartan scoring with an 80 and is tied for 70th at 153.
UCLA leads the team standings at 560, two shots ahead of Stanford and three in front of Southern California.
Final round action begins Sunday at 7:30 a.m. The Spartans begin on #10 with Arizona State and Georgia at 7:30 a.m.
