Colorado Springs, Colo. - San José State freshmen Morgan McCormick and Cari Reiswig were tabbed with Mountain West women's swimming and diving weekly honors.

Reiswig was named the Mountain West diver of the week for the second time in as many weeks, while McCormick was named the Mountain West swimmer of the week for the first time this season. This marks the first time in school history that the Spartans swept the weekly awards since joining the Mountain West in July 2013.

Reiswig broke the school record in the 1-meter springboard competition with a score of 296.48 in the Spartans dual meet against UC Davis, besting the previous mark of 294.75 set by Amy Kilby in 2011. The Galt, Calif. native also won the 3-meter springboard with a score of 312.60. Both scores rank first in the Mountain West and are NCAA Championship-qualifying marks.

McCormick captured three individual first place finishes to go along with the top spot in the 200-medley relay. McCormick placed first in the 100 back (58.61), 200 back (2:02.89) and the 200-individual medley (2:05.63). The Golden, Colo. native swam the lead off of the 200-yard medley relay, as the Spartans posted a time of 1:43.36 for the win. The time currently ranks second in the Mountain West.

San José State will return to the pool on Saturday, October 25 for a doubleheader with UC Santa Cruz and Simon Fraser. The three teams have a 9:00 a.m. (PT) double-dual meet in Santa Cruz and conclude their day in San Jose with a second double-dual meet at the Aquatics Center starting at 4:00 p.m. (PT).
