LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The San Jose State women's soccer team dropped its second match of the weekend, 3-0, Sunday morning against UNLV at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
UNLV (7-4-1, 2-2-0) scored its first goal of the match right before the half, and a pair of times out of the break in a total of six minutes.
"Our entire team didn't compete today," said San Jose State head coach Lauren Hanson. "We all must compete as a unit to be able to get results in conference play."
The Rebels' redshirt junior Denali Murnan started the scoring for UNLV with a header, assisted from Gaby Vazquez right before halftime in the 43rd minute.
The Rebels continued their scoring right after halftime, adding another on the day when Dakota Blazak beat San Jose State (3-6-3, 0-3-1) goalkeeper Zoe Makrigiannis.
Shortly after, Isabelle Delgado scored the final goal of the match tracking down a ball, beating Makrigiannis as she stepped out of goal. Delgado shot into an empty net for the final goal of the match.
San Jose State will return to the pitch on Friday, October 10 at Utah State. Match time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
