SAN JOSE -- The San José State women's soccer team will wrap up its four game road trip with a visit to Utah State on Friday, October 10 at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 12 at Boise State with match time slated for 12:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (10/5/14) - The San José State women's soccer team dropped its second match of the weekend, 3-0, Sunday morning against UNLV at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

UNLV (7-4-1, 2-2-0) scored its first goal of the match right before the half, and a pair of times out of the break in a total of six minutes. The Rebels' redshirt junior Denali Murnan started the scoring for UNLV with a header, assisted from Gaby Vazquez right before halftime in the 43rd minute.

UNLV continued their scoring right after halftime, adding another on the day when Dakota Blazak beat San Jose State (3-6-3, 0-3-1) goalkeeper Zoe Makrigiannis.

Shortly after, Isabelle Delgado scored the final goal of the match tracking down a ball, beating Makrigiannis as she stepped out of goal. Delgado shot into an empty net for the final goal of the match.

SCOUTING UTAH STATE
Utah State, led by senior Lexie Morgan and sophomore Jessica Brooksby enters the weekend with an overall record of 6-4-2, and 2-1-1 in the Mountain West. The duo has combined for a total of 14 points on the season, sharing the team lead in goals (3), assists (1) and points (7). Winners of two of its last three matches, defeated Wyoming (2-0) and Colorado State (1-0) to put together a perfect weekend.

In their meeting last season San José State outshot Utah State, 8-7, but the Aggies were able to convert on a pair of goals for the 2-0 win at Spartan Stadium. San José State trails the all-time series 2-6-2.


SCOUTING BOISE STATE
Boise State, led by senior Shannon Schueren and junior Brooke Heidemann boost an overall record of 4-6-3 and 1-3-0 in the Mountain West. Heidemann, with her 12 points (5g, 2a), is second in the conference in points while Schueren has added 10 points (5g), tied for fifth in the conference.

The teams met last season in Boise, Idaho where the Broncos defeated the Spartans, 3-0. San José State trails the all-time series with Boise State, 4-7-2.

SPARTAN DEFENSE
Through 12 games the Spartans have shutout four of its 12 opponents, allowing just nine goals, a Mountain West best. The 0.77 goals-against average is tops in the Mountain West.

Makrigiannis leads the Mountain West in shutouts (4) and is second in save percentage (.827) and goals-against average (0.79).

San José State will return to Spartan Soccer Field following four consecutive road games on Friday, October 17 to host Colorado State at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 19 against Wyoming at 11:00 a.m.
