Las Vegas, Nev.-San José State was swept at UNLV, 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-17) Saturday night in a Mountain West match at Cox Pavilion.
Nandyala Gama again led the team in kills with nine and hit a team-best .368 (9-2-19). Sara Hibbs added seven kills, while Tyanna Roy had six kills and six digs.
The Spartans hit just .130 for the match, had only one service ace and were out-blocked 6-3.
UNLV's Bree Hammel, the reigning Mountain West Player of the Week, led all hitters with 11 kills, hit .714 (11-1-14) for the match and had five block assists.
The Spartans travel to #9 Colorado State for a Wednesday night match on November 19, beginning at 7 p.m. MST. The match can be seen live on the Mountain West Digital Network.
