Colorado Springs, Colo. --- San José State men's golfer Cody Blick has been awarded his second consecutive Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Month title for his stellar play during October. Blick shared the honors with New Mexico's Gavin Green.
The month was highlighted by his school-record, 10-under par 62 in the final round to win the Price's Give `Em Five Invitational. The Danville, Calif., native was a birdie machine during the event, with 21 over three rounds against only three bogies. His final round was bogey free, and he finished the tournament -18 (67-69-62-198).
For the month, Blick shot par or better in all six rounds. His five sub-70 rounds helped drop his scoring average to 69.1. He also finished tied for 11th place at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in October 13-14.
Blick is currently 27th on the NCAA Men's Head-to-Head Rankings produced by Golfstat as of November 12.
