WOODBERRY PICKS UP RIGHT WHERE SHE LEFT OFF IN 2013-14
Rebecca Woodberry (Sr., F, Phoenix, Ariz.) finished the 2013-14 season as the 12th best 3-point shooter in the nation (3.1/g). Through three games of 2014-15 she is ahead of her pace from last year (3.7/g). She has scored in double figures in each game this year, including a 30-point outburst at Utah (11/14) to open the campaign.

The single-season record holder for 3-pointers (90 in 2013-14), Woodberry became the seventh player in program history to reach 100 made threes when she drained four at UC Riverside (11/20). She has made 101 3-pointers in 32-career games at San José State.

CAN YOU HANDLE THE PRESSURE
It's only three games, but the Spartans showed an inkling of what their pressure defense is capable of this year. SJSU has forced its opponents to turn the ball over 84 times and in those, made 46 steals. San José State made those opponent miscues pay off to the tune of a 88-31 advantage in points off turnovers.

GAME TIMES SET FOR CAL CLASSIC
The Cal Bears and Spartans will play the opening game of the Cal Classic on November 28 and tip off time is now set for 5:30 p.m. in Haas Pavilion.

If San José State wins that game they will play for the championship on Saturday, November 29 at 7:00 p. m. against the winner of a game between Cincinnati and Creighton. If the Spartans lose to Cal, they would play the consolation game on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. against the loser of Cincinnati vs. Creighton.

SCOUTING UC IRVINE
The Anteaters, who play in the Big West Conference, come into their match up with the San José State with a 1-2 record after an 76-53 loss to Pepperdine on Thursday in their home opener. UCI was 17-15 overall, 9-7 in conference in 2013-14 under third-year head coach Doug Oliver.

The UC Irvine lost seven seniors from last year's team. So far, Mokun Fajemisin leads the team in scoring at 8/7/g and is pulling down 4.0 rebounds. Brittany Glassow is at 7.7 ppg and 5.0 rebounds. Raelyn Cheung-Sutton is dishing out 4.3 assists and Methlyn Onogomuho leads the team with 5.7 rebounds per outing.

UCI holds the advantage in the all-time series 10-16, and this will be the first time the two have met since the 2004-05 season. In games contested in Irvine the Spartans trail 4-10 in the series.
