Freshman diver Cari Reiswig and junior men's golfer Cody Blick are the Spartan Foundation's October Student-Athletes of the Month, presented by ScholarShare.

Reiswig is off to one of the best starts in San José State women's diving history. The Galt, Calif., native earned a pair of Mountain West Diver of the Week awards after breaking the SJSU record in both the 1-meter springboard with a score of 301.45, and the 3-meter springboard with a score of 345.85. The 345.85 stands as the best score in the Mountain West this season, while the 301.45 ranks second in the conference.

Blick fired a school-record 10-under par 62 in the final round of the Price's Give `Em Five Invitational to win the third tournament of his Spartan career. He finished -18 (67-69-62-198) for the tournament with 10 birdies and zero bogies in the historic final-round performance. The Danville, Calif., native had a 68.3 stroke average in six rounds during the month of October.
