San Jose, Calif. – The San José State University women’s tennis team will see its last action of the fall this weekend, as it hosts the 2014 San José State Invitational at Spartan Courts.
The tournament, which runs Friday through Sunday, features San José State, Santa Clara and San Francisco. Each day, schools will either play two sets of singles or one set of singles and one set of doubles. Teams will not face off more than once in a day, per ITA regulations.
The Spartans’ lineup will consist of the same six players that played in the Saint Mary’s Invitational: Julianna Bacelar, Malin Cubukcu, Marie Klocker, Abbie Pahz, Gaelle Rey and Jessica Willett.
On Friday, San José State will kick off the tournament at 9:30 a.m., when they play Santa Clara in the morning singles slot. At 12:30 p.m., San Francisco and Santa Clara will square off in doubles. The Spartans will return to the court at 1:45 p.m., when they close out the day with another set of singles, this time against San Francisco.
