After the best meet of the season last week, the San José State women’s gymnastics team returns to The Event Center this Friday night to host UC Davis at 7 p.m.
The meet is designated as the “Think Pink” meet to raise awareness for breast cancer. Fans will have the opportunity to donate to the American Cancer Society at the meet.
The Spartans return home for the only home meet in February. The team has not bee home since January 16, when they faced California and UW-La Crosse.
San José State enters the meet with a 194.236 scoring average to rank 38th in the country. The team scored a season-best 194.125 last week in a win at Sacramento State. Cami Guyer won the all-around with a 39.225, and three event titles. For her efforts, she was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week. Maddie Herr tied for first on bars with Guyer and won the beam title.
The Spartans face the Aggies for the second time this season. The two teams competed in the NorCal Classic hosted by UC Davis on January 4. UC Davis scored a 194.350 to finish second, while the Spartans were third with a 194.050.

SCHEDULE NOTE – Please note that the final home meet of the season has been moved to Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m., inside The Event Center. The meet was originally scheduled for Friday, March 6.
