San Jose, Calif.- Cami Guyer and Kaitlin Won have been honored by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with Gymnast and Newcomer of the Week honors, respectively, for their performances against UC Davis on February 20.
Guyer won Gymnast of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after winning her second consecutive all-around title with a 39.175 in San José State's win over UC Davis. She won the beam with a 9.775 and scored a career-best 9.850 on vault to finish tied for second. Guyer tied for second on bars with a 9.750 and added a 9.800 on floor.
Won received Newcomer of the Week for the first time this season. She finished second in the all-around with a 38.850 as the Spartans defeated UC Davis on February 20. She had a 9.700 on vault, a 9.725 on bars, tied for second on beam at 9.725 and a 9.700 on floor.
