Waikoloa, Hawai'i --- Cody Blick finished with a bogey-free 3-under 69, while Landon Polterock backed up yesterday's 68 with a 2-under 70 in round two of the Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawai'i on Friday.



The Spartans shot 291 (+3) on the day as a team, a stroke better than round one at the 7,074-yard par 72 Kings' Course, and are in 15th place at 583 (+7).



Polterock shot a 34 on the front-nine where he made three of his four birdies on the day. The senior holds the Spartans' 36-hole low score at 138 (-6), and is tied for 12th among the event's 111 individuals.



Blick's 69 was the low round of the day for San José State. He birdied the first, 15th and 18th holes and made 15 pars for his clean scorecard. Blick, ranked 25th in the country by Golfstat, jumped up into a tie for 24th place at 141 (-3) through 36 holes.



Henrik Sohlberg is tied for 81st place after shooting 74 (+2) today, bringing his 36-hole score to a 5-over 149. Felix Möesmang shot 78 and is tied for 103rd at +11, while Marcus Potter carded a 79 and is tied for 107th at +13. Brett Thawley, competing as an individual, also shot a 79 and is +13 for the tournament.



#19-Washington took over on the team leaderboard with a 19-under 269 on Friday. They Huskies are -30 through 36 holes, three shots ahead of #14-Southern California.



Cheng-Tsung Pan, at -14, holds a two-shot lead over Southern California's Rico Hoey on the individual leaderboard.
