San José, Calif.--On senior day and the final home meet of the season, the San José State women's gymnastics team left it all on the floor as the Spartans scored a season-best 195.675 in a quadrangular meet at The Event Center.

Utah State won the meet with a 195.750, while Sacramento State was third at 195.050, and Sacramento State fourth at 194.025.

The Spartans scored the seventh-highest team score in school history with the 195.675 and was just .300 off the school record of 195.925, set at the 2004 MPSF Championships. Two event teams also neared school records during the meet. The vault team started the day off with a 49.075, the second-highest vault score in school history, and the beam team added a season-best 49.075. The beam score ties for the second-highest in school history.

Spartan senior Cami Guyer won the all-around with a 39.350, the seventh-highest score in school history. She won the vault with a career-best 9.900 and became just the fourth Spartan gymnast to record a 9.900 on vault. Guyer added a 9.825 on beam and floor and a 9.800 on bars.

Three other Spartans also competed in their final home meet - Alyssa Montalban, Kiley Field and Gabrielle Kambur. Montalban scored a 9.700 on vault and a 9.275 on floor. Field led off the floor team as she tied her career high with a 9.825. Kambur competed on beam and received a 9.775.

Other top competitors for San José State included Maddie Herr who won the beam with a career-best 9.850. She scored a 38.925 in the all-around, adding a 9.825 on vault, 9.775 on bars and a 9.475 on floor.

Kaitlin Won was third in the all-around with a season-best 39.150. She had a career-high on vault at 9.825, 9.725 on bars, another career-best on beam at 9.825 and a 9.775 on floor.

Allison Bellingham scored a season-best 9.800 on beam. Alyssa Kascak had a season-best 9.800 on bars, while Mackenzie Douglas added a season-best 9.800 on floor.

Former Spartan men's and women's gymnasts were honored throughout the meet on alumni day. Many of the alums joined the team during the march-in, and all were recognized between the first and second rotations.

The Spartan gymnastics program also recognized Sacramento State head coach Kim Hughes who is retiring at the end of the season. Hughes has led the Hornet program for the past 34 years.

San José State goes back on the road next week for one final meet before the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on March 21. The Spartans travel to Oregon State next Saturday night to compete against the Beavers, Lindenwood and Seattle Pacific.
