The San José State men's golf team heads up the pacific coast this weekend for the Bandon Dunes Championship beginning Friday, March 13.
Joining the Spartans in the field will be: Army, Colorado, Duke, Hartford, Loyola Marymount, Missouri, Cal State Northridge, Saint Mary's (CA), Stephen F. Austin, UC Davis, UM-Kansas City, UNC-Wilmington, Utah Valley, Washington State and the host, Gonzaga.
Head coach John Kennaday has announced the SJSU lineup which includes: Cody Blick, Taylor Bromley, Landon Polterock, Scott Munger and Brett Thawley. Matthew Ashley will play as an individual.
Blick enters the event as the highest rated individual at 26th in the nation according to the March 10 release of the Golfstat Cup rankings. Thawley, a freshman, played as an individual in the Amer Ari Invitational earlier this spring, but this will be his first 2015 event in the Spartans' lineup.
The 54-hole event will take place at the 6,798-yard, par 72, Bandon Dunes Course. The field will play 18 holes Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
