Corvallis, Ore.-- Maddie Herr tied for first on bars, and the Spartan vault and floor teams recorded top-five scores in school history Saturday night at Gil Coliseum. The San José State women's gymnastics team finished second with a 194.675 team score at Oregon State.

Herr tied her career best on bars with a 9.875 to tie three other gymnasts for the title. The Spartans started the night on bars and scored a 48.825 for the second consecutive week. Kaitlin Won scored a 9.800, followed by Cami Guyer at 9.750, Mackenzie Douglas and Rachel Heinl at 9.700 and Marissa Unpingco at 9.650.

After scoring one of the best beam scores in school history on Sunday, the Spartans had to count a fall Saturday night with the team's 47.550. Guyer led the team with a 9.650, followed by Won and Gabrielle Kambur at 9.600, Allison Bellingham at 9.500, Herr at 9.200 and Amy Bellingham at 8.975.

The floor team then came through as they tied for the third-best floor score in school history at 49.350. Guyer recorded her career best of 9.900 to lead the Spartans. Douglas and Herr each had a career-best 9.875, while Kiley Field and Won each recorded a career-best 9.850. Alyssa Montalban rounded out the team with a 9.775.

In the final rotation, the vault team tied for the fifth-best vault score in school history with a 48.950. Rachel Heinl tied for third as she recorded a career-best 9.850, followed by Hannah Gilbert, Herr, Montalban and Won at 9.775, and Guyer at 9.750.

Guyer finished third in the all-around with a 39.050, her fifth consecutive meet with a 39.000 or better score. Won was fourth at 39.025, her third consecutive 39.000 or better score. Herr finished at 38.725.

The Beavers won the meet with a 197.075, followed by the Spartans at 194.675. Lindenwood finished third at 194.125, and Seattle Pacific was fourth at 193.225.

San José State now prepares for the 2015 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships next Saturday, March 21, at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. The meet begins at 6 p.m. AT/7 p.m. PDT. Live scoring and video links will be available on www.sjsuspartans.com.
