More than 50 San Jose State University student-athletes filled the Simpkins Stadium Center Gold Room for a recent resume-building workshop conducted by the University's Career Center.
Student-athletes received advice on composing a meaningful resume, proper attire for a job interview and interviewing effectively for a job opportunity.
The participating Spartans are in the midst of creating a winning resume for prospective employers at this year's Spartans-to-Success Career Fair, Thursday, April 16, in the Spartan Gym, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Studies are available demonstrating the work ethic of a typical student-athlete who uses time management skills daily to balance a full-time academic course load, participate in intercollegiate athletics, perform community service activities and still have time for personal and campus activities.
Employers, entrepreneurs and businesses seeking ambitious young men and women with track records of success in a competitive environment to enhance their company's bottom line and standing in the community can meet these San Jose State University student-athletes by contacting Julie Stansberrry (Julie.stansberry@sjsu.edu) and signing up for the Spartans-To-Success Career Fair.
