San Jose State Falls to Boise State, 68-51

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Rob Heyer scored a career-high 15 points and Boise State defeated San Jose State 68-51 on Wednesday night.

Boise State won its fifth straight game and can claim its first MWC title and the No. 1 seed to the conference tournament with a win at home Saturday over Fresno State.

The Broncos led 38-21 at halftime and were up as many as 25 in the second half. Derrick Marks scored 13 points, James Webb III 11 and Chandler Hutchison 10.

Rashad Muhammad scored 17 points to lead the Spartans (2-27, 0-17). Darryl Gaynor II scored 11 points and Jaleel Williams 10. Brandon Mitchell had a career-high 11 rebounds.
