With its most attractive home football schedule since joining the Mountain West, two San José State games are among the first 11 picked by the conference's national television broadcast partners, ESPN and the CBS Sports Network, for weekday college football coverage.
The San José State-BYU non-conference game set for the weekend ending November 7 now will be played on Friday, November 6, with an 8:30 p.m. (PDT) start time. The San Jose State-Boise State conference contest to conclude the regular season for both teams now is assigned to Friday, November 27, at 12:30 p.m. (PST). CBS Sports Network will originate both telecasts for a national audience.
The San José State-BYU game marks the second time in four seasons the two teams will play in front of an evening national television audience. In 2012, the Spartans emerged victorious, 20-16, in a home game televised by ESPN2.
San José State will be facing Boise State for the first time in Mountain West football action. The last time these teams faced each other was in 2010 in Spartan Stadium. The 2015 game will be the third national telecast between the two teams. The previous two telecasts were San José State home games starting with Boise State's marathon 56-49 double-overtime win in 2004.
Additional San José State games may be selected by CBS Sports Network, the ESPN family of networks, ROOT Sports and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders as part of the conference's television package.
Besides the first announcement of nationally-televised San José State games for the upcoming season, the University is designating the San Diego State on Saturday, October 17, as the annual Homecoming Game. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date.
